For a couple minutes I considered giving it a name, but ; then I decided to let it go un-named. I put too little effort ; into the image to honor it with a clever name. ; ; The render time of under 13 minutes will seem not nearly so long ; once the brilliant colors become visible. And those who choose ; not to calculate the image may view the image on the FOTD web ; site at: ; ; ; ; Saturday started with an hour of shoveling snow here at Fractal ; Central, but the 8-inch (17cm) snow was fluffy and easy to push ; aside. The rest of the day was mostly cloudy with the tempera- ; ture hovering just around freezing. The fractal cats were ; briefly interested in the unfamiliar appearance of the outside ; world, which to them is a big forbidden room they never get to ; enter. Then they decided to get into a tussle and soon forgot ; the world outside. ; ; After I finished with the snow, my day was about average. The ; fractal I found is also about average. What I need is a series ; of above-average fractals, but those critters are easier to hope ; for than to find. The next in the long series of FOTD's will ; appear right here in 24 hours. Until then, take care, and be ; lucky in your fractal search. ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jamth@mindspring.com ; jimmuth@aol.com ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= FOTD_for_Mar_18_07 { ; time=0:12:53.95--SF5 on a P200 reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=allinone.frm formulaname=MandelbrotBC2 center-mag=-0.3169561227\ 5006480/-1.45934807761541300/6.437555e+007/1/-45/\ -8.35019084463040073e-005 params=1.732/0/-3.141592\ 65358979/0 float=y maxiter=1400 inside=0 logmap=395 periodicity=10 colors=0008008008008008208308408508608808928A48B68\ C86DA3FC0GE8HG8II8KK8KM8KO8KQ8KS8KU8KWDKYKK_PKaNGc\ IBeF8hHCeKHcLLbNP`PUZQYYTaVUdVWi`Zme_wkgzqmzwqzzzz\ zzwzzwwzwqwwkqueot`grVeqP_pKZoDVmCVoCVoBVmBVmAVl9S\ j9Oi8Lg8He6Fe6Gd5Hd4Ic4Kd3Ld3Me2Ng2Oh5Pi8QjBSkDTlG\ VoKYpM_rPatScwUeyYhz_jzalzYoz`qzerzkuzqyzqzzqzzqzz\ qzzqgl0bc0YV0TM2TG2U92U02V45V99VCCWHGaMKgPNmUQsYUy\ aYze`ziczmgzqiyogyleykdwicwhbweawd`wb_w`Zw_YuYWuWV\ uUUuTTwOZwKbwGgwBlw8qw3uw0zq2uk4qe6m`8iqAekCakDYeG\ U`IPVKMZGFeC8h90kF9iFGhDNkDVoDasIhqFdoCamFZkIVcLSb\ OO`LLbIIdMHgOGiQGkTFmWDjZDg`CcbBedBheGieKjeNkeSlgV\ miZokapm_qpYrqVsrTttQuuOwwMwxKyzHzzHzzIzyKzwLzuLzr\ LwoLmlLbiLYcLQ_LQVLPQLPMLOHLODLTALZ6Lb3Lh0Le3Oi5Si\ 9ViBZcDVdHZdKWdN_jPbpSjq`sqhwqwzqzzqzzpwzoswoosmho\ meklcgkbbkP_jPVjUSgZWdc`bhd`miZrmWvqYzpYzpZzpZzpCz\ cAzq8zzVzkqzTmzWjzZgzaczc } frm:MandelbrotBC2 { ; by several Fractint users e=p1, a=imag(p2)+100, p=real(p2)+PI q=2*PI*floor(p/(2*PI)), r=real(p2)-q Z=C=Pixel: Z=log(Z) IF(imag(Z)>r) Z=Z+flip(2*PI) ENDIF Z=exp(e*(Z+flip(q)))+C |Z|
