It has a freshness ; that rekindles my enthusiasm for the parent, which was starting ; to become boring. No more do we see the endless display of ; terminal rings that have adorned so many of the previous images ; for December. In their place we see . . . well, I'm not sure ; what we have. I guess it's up to the individual fractalist to ; decide what today's image holds. ; ; The scene is located on the eastern side of the parent, in about ; as unlikely a place as is ever checked. I named the image "A ; Raspy Assemblage" because of the raspy texture of the elements ; along the edge. The wedge-shaped bluish background sections of ; the image consist of inside stuff made visible with the bof61 ; inside fill. The shredded arms in the foreground are outside ; stuff rendered with the outside set to imag. ; ; The little over 3 minutes it takes to run the included parameter ; file will pass in a flash once the image starts to take shape. ; And if running a parameter file is too much trouble, the image ; is, or soon will be available for viewing on the FOTD web site ; at: ; ; ; ; Another miserable day's weather passed unappreciated here at ; Fractal Central on Tuesday. When the cold morning drizzle ; became a steady afternoon rain, and the temperature quit at 36F ; 2C, the fractal cats rolled over, took a quick glance, and went ; back to sleep. Cats don't like cloudy chilly days. ; ; My day was busy enough to prevent boredom. Tomorrow is likely ; to be the same. The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours. Until ; then, take care, and if the mind is in the brain, and the brain ; is a sense-created image in the mind, how do we get off this ; wheel of circular reasoning without arbitrarily assuming that ; physical material is the ultimate reality? ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jamth@mindspring.com ; jimmuth@aol.com ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= A_Raspy_Assemblage { ; time=0:03:06.91-SF5 on P4-2000 reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=allinone.frm formulaname=MandAutoCritInZ function=recip passes=1 center-mag=+5.63047998949/+10.0389614258/131879/1/\ 25/0 params=-2.475/-1.05/-0.275/-5.5/0/-78/0/0 float=y maxiter=1950 inside=bof61 outside=imag periodicity=10 colors=030b_m`_m`_mY_mWXmWXmUXmSXmS\ XmQVmQVmOVmLVmLVmJSmGSmGSmESmESmGXmJ_mJamLemLgmOjk\ QnbQpVSsMSxDUz4Uz0JxAAsQ2nb2jm2em2fr2_m2_m2_mA_mJX\ mQXmYXmgXmoVmsVmsVmsVmsSmsSksSisSgsVksVmsXmsXms_ms\ _msamsamsdmsdmsemsemsgmsgmsjmsjmslmslmsgmmdmg_m`Vm\ UQm20WGHkJKgJMbLMZLOVLQSOQOOSKQVFQVAQX8S_4S_0Ua0Ud\ 0Ud0We0Wg0Yg0Yj0Yj0bl0gl0kn0mn0qp0sp0ss0ss4su8suDs\ xIsxMszQszSsuQspOshMpbMnXKkRIgLFfKFeJDdIAcH8bG8aF6\ `E4`D2WC2SB0OA1J92L87G7CE6IA5N54R23X25a27f29j2Bn2H\ r2Kr2Mr2Qr2Sr2Vr2Xr8KrQ7qg3ps3ks3fs3as3Xs3Ss3Os3Ks\ 3Fs3Ds38s34s30s30s30s30s30s30s30s70sE0sM0sS0s_0se0\ sl0ss2sz2sz4sz6sz8sz8szAszAszDszDszFszFszFszIszIsz\ KszKszKszQszXszaszgszk2Km2Qm2Xm2dm2jm2pm2sm2sm2sm2\ um5umCukJxeQxaWxVbxQhzKozFsz8sz4sz0sz0sz0sz0szAszK\ szVszbszmszmszmszmmziGzF2z02z02x08s0Gn0Qj0We0da0mV\ 0sQ0sM0sH0sB0s70s30s30sQ0sp0gz0gamdamb_m } frm:MandAutoCritInZ {; Jim Muth a=real(p1), b=imag(p1), d=real(p2), f=imag(p2), g=1/f, h=1/d, j=1/(f-b), z=(((-a*b*g*h)^j)+(p4)), k=real(p3)+1, l=imag(p3)+100, c=fn1(pixel): z=k*((a*(z^b))+(d*(z^f)))+c, |z| < l } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint
