But whatever the image is, it rates a 6, ; and is relatively easy on the eye. ; ; A large part of the image consists of 'inside' stuff brought to ; life by the 'bof60' inside fill. Some interesting scenes might ; lie deeper inside the image, but I was too lazy to check. ; ; The name "Half Asleep" refers not only to the appearance of the ; fractal but to the awareness level of the fractalist as well. ; The calculation time of 3-1/4 minutes will bring joy to the ; hearts of every fractal fan, as will a trip to the FOTD web site ; at: ; ; ; ; where the finished image is posted for immediate viewing ; followed by absolute bliss. ; ; The bright sun on Sunday here at Fractal Central looked promis- ; ing at first, but when the air temperature reached 91F 33C, the ; sun no longer brought comfort. The fractal cats tried lying in ; the sun for a couple minutes, then stretched beneath the cool ; air vent. Needless to say, April is too early to turn on the ; cool air, so the cats complained and cooled down on their own. ; ; After the trip to Old Fractal Central on Saturday, I spent ; Sunday doing little or nothing. FL spent the day working in her ; garden, while I checked her progress every hour or so to give ; the impression I would be ready to help . . . if she needed it. ; Luckily, she never did. The next FOTD will be posted in 24 ; hours. Until then, take care, and I just saw a Higgs particle ; fly past the window. And it stopped long enough to look in. I ; guess this makes me world famous. ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jamth@mindspring.com ; jimmuth@aol.com ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= Half_Asleep { ; time=0:03:14.60-SF5 on P4-2000 reset=2001 type=formula formulafile=mandnewt.frm formulaname=MandNewt11 passes=1 center-mag=0.08566\ /0/1.8/1/-90/0 params=-1.38/-0.99/-1.98/0.47/-0.48\ /3.46 float=y maxiter=250 inside=bof60 logmap=yes periodicity=0 colors=000zzzzzzzzzzzzzzyzzxzzwzzvzzuzztzzszzrzzqz\ zpzzozzozyoyxoxwowvovuoutotsosrorqoqpopnoolonjomho\ lfoldojboj`ohZohXofWofUoeTodSocRobQoaPo`OmZNlYMkWM\ jWMhULgUKeSJdSIaQH_OGYOFWMEWMDUKCSKBSIAQI9OG8OE7ME\ 6KD5KD4IB3GB2G91E90D80D80B609509508306306205203103\ 10200100100000000000000000000000000000000000001002\ 00300400500600700800900A00B00B00B00B00B00B10B20B30\ B50B60B80B90BB0BD0BG0BI0BK0BM0BO0BQ0BS0BU0BW0BY0BW\ 0BU0BU0BS1BS1BQ2BQ3BO5BO6BM6BM8BK9BKBBIDBIDBGEBEGB\ EIBDKBDKBBMBBOB9QB9SB8UB8UB6WB6YB5_B5aB3aB2dB2fB1h\ B1jB0jC0lE0oG0qI0sK0sM0uO0xQ0zS0zU0zZ0zZ0zB0xB0uB0\ sB1qB2oB5lB6jB8fBBdBDaBG_CIYDMWDOUESSGUQGWQJUQKSQM\ OQOMQPKQTIQVGQXDQZBQ`9Qd8Qf5Qh3Qj2Ql1Qq0Qs0Qu0Qw0Q\ z0Ww0_u0fs1jq3oo5ul8zjBzhEzfIzdKzhQzjUzoYzqaxufuwj\ szoozslzxhzzfzzdzz_zzYzzUzzSzzQzzMzzKzzIzzEzzDzzBz\ z9zz6wz5sz3oz2jz0fz0bz0Zz } frm:MandNewt11 {; Jim Muth z=g=pixel, a=real(p1), b=imag(p1), c=real(p2), d=imag(p2), e=real(p3), f=imag(p3): h=z^a+(g-b)*z-f j=c*z^d+g z=z-e*h/j, .0000000000000000000000000000005 <= |h| } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint
