; With the seasonal rush still in full swing here at FC, today's 
; image is another quickie, with a calculation time of 1-1/4 
; minutes.

; The parent fractal is rather promising.  It consists of an 
; upside-down Mandelbrot set, with a segment of another M-set just 
; to its southwest and a series of large irregular bays farther 
; west of there.  The whole thing is surrounded by a field of 
; twisting filaments.
; 
; Today's scene, which captures only a bit of its parent's 
; potential, is located on the western shore line of the 
; westernmost irregular bay.
; 
; The main effect of the image was achieved by rendering the scene 
; with the outside set to 'tdis'.
; 
; The image has no rating, and IMO deserves none.
; 
; The name "Happy Old Year" gives a bit of perhaps unearned homage 
; to the year just ended.

; The sun shone brilliantly here at Fractal Central on Tuesday,
