; Friday turned unexpectedly busy here at FC, so the day's fractal 
; is a quick one.  The parent fractal, which was created with the 
; FinDivBrot-2 formula, consists of a Mandelbrot set surrounded by 
; much extra detail.  Today's image is located in some of this 
; extra detail on the positive X-axis.

; I named the image "Mayan Mystery".  Something about it reminds 
; me of the symbolic art of the ancient Mayans of Central America.

; Since so much of the image's worth is in the coloring, I gave 
; myself a half-point bonus for my color work, bringing the final 
; rating to 7.5.

; high temperature of 82F 28C and partly cloudy skies.  Showers 
; were in the area during the afternoon, though none fell at FC.  
; The fractal cats enjoyed chasing a fly that got inside.  One of 
; them, probably the more agile Cassie, must have caught the fly.  
; It disappeared as fast as today's fractal appeared.

; My day was acceptable.  I'll be going back to old FC on Saturday
