The image is located ; on the positive X-axis of the parent fractal, which is far ; easier to see than to describe. ; ; The name "Breaking the Rules" refers to the lack of any kind of ; 2,4,8... symmetry in the elements surrounding the obviously ; quadratic minibrot at the center. Quadratic minibrots are not ; always found by searching for 2-way symmetry. ; ; The calculation time of the image is a surprisingly brief 38 ; seconds, which is about half the time needed to view the image ; on the FOTD web site at: ; ; ; ; but viewing the already finished image avoids the hassle of ; setting up and running the included parameter file. ; ; The Sunday weather here at Fractal central was a repeat of ; Saturday's, minus the morning cat fight in the yard. The sky ; was partly cloudy, while the temperature reached a high of 70F ; 21C.
