; A late FOTD usually means a busy day, and so it was here at FC

; We have another merely average FOTD fractal.  How humiliating!  
; But nobody is perfect, and with no time to find a good fractal, 
; today's image is the best I could do.

; Basically, the image is a smoothly-colored spiral with most of 
; the frills left out.  Perhaps the most interesting part is the 
; series of similarly-shaped holes along the spiral arms.

; The parent fractal is little more than a large area of chaos, 
; with the remains of one large Mandelbrot set, and minibrots of 
; various shapes and sizes scattered throughout.  Today's scene is 
; located in the remains of the East Valley of the large M-set.

; I rated the image at a 4 and named it "Smooth Nothings".  The 
; calculation time of 1-1/3 minutes is brief enough to cause no

; After Wednesday's all-day rain, near perfect weather prevailed 
; here at Fractal Central on Thursday, with partly cloudy skies,

; annoyance was a wet spot that I noticed on the third floor
