; ourselves lucky that the FOTD is here at all.  The day's fractal 
; search went badly, and other things that needed to be done piled 
; up to cut short the fractal-searching time.  The result is an 
; image that rates a 5-1/2, with 1/2 point due to the coloring.

; The parent fractal is a result of mixing an infinitesimal part 
; of Z^(-257) with Z^2 on each iteration before adding C.  The 
; parent fractal is a stack of overlapping circular disks roughly 
; arranged in the shape of a Mandelbrot set.  Today's scene is
