The name has nothing ; to do with the image. It is actually a phrase from an old ; Abbott and Costello comedy skit. Those aged enough to be ; considered venerable will remember the movie. The rest must ; forever wonder why the phrase was so funny. ; ; Today's image is no joke however. It shows a Z^(2.3) minibrot ; in the phantom parent fractal of two days ago. This parent ; consists of a large three-lobed central bay with smaller bays on ; the west and east and west ends. Today's image is located in a ; blunt valley on the western edge of a bud on the northwest edge ; of the western lobe of the large central bay. ; ; The rating of 7-1/2 indicates an image just slightly above ; average. The calculation time of 11-1/2 minutes is very slow, ; making a trip to one of the web sites by far the better choice. ; ; Much time may be saved by viewing the finished image on the FOTD ; web site at: ; ; ; ; Variations in high-definition are or soon will be posted at: ; ; ; ; If the variations are not yet posted, it is because some of the ; hi-def variations can be quite time consuming to generate. ; ; The many thousands of FOTD back images are online at: ; ; ; ; The day dawned clear, but clouds moved in as the sun rose, and ; the rest of the day was cloudy with a temperature of 32F 0Z and ; a few light flurries of snow. The fractal cat quit the window ; shelf as soon as he saw the lack of sun. The humans had a busy ; day. With too much work and both of us feeling under average, ; testiness prevailed. ; ; The next FOTD will be posted when the time is right, and there ; is a good chance that might not be for two days. Until then, ; take care, and everyone knows the solutions to the nation's ; problems. Why then have the problems not yet been solved? ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jimmuth@earthlink.net ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= Slowly_I_Turned { ; time=0:11:30.00 SF5 at 2000MHZ reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=basicer.frm formulaname=MandAutoCritInZ function=cosxx float=y center-mag=-0.776166017979/+0.444260643139/4.4421\ 5e+008/1/-152.5/0 params=-2/2.3/1/4.6/-0.02/0/-1/0 maxiter=5400 inside=0 logmap=487 periodicity=6 colors=000UUZTU_RUaQUbOUdNUeLUfKUhIUiHUkFUlEUmCUoB\ UpAVq9Wn8Xk8Yh7Zf7_c6``6aZ5bW4cT4bQ3aO3`L2_I2ZG3YK\ 4XO4WR5VV5UY9`bAXeBThCQkDMnEIqFEtFBwHCtJDrLEoNEmPF\ jRGhTHeVHcXIaZJZ`KXbKUdLSfMPhNNiNLkSJmXHnaFpfDqkBs\ p9tt8YcLCNYFO_IPaLRbOSdQTfTVhWWiZXkaZmd_of`pddrchs\ alu`pvZtxYxyUtsQpmMlhIhbEdYA`S7YN8VO9SO9QOANPAKPBI\ PBFQCCQCAQFCTHEVKGYMI_PJbRLdUNgWPiZRl`SncUqeWshYvj\ Zxi_th_qg_mf_je_gd_cc_`b_Ya`U``R_`NZ`KY`HX`DW`AV`7\ TbAScCRdEPeGOfINhKLiMKjPJkRHlTGnVFoXDpZCq`BrbJqWRp\ OZoHfn9nm2lc6kUAjUEiUHYUMNURBUW0U_CXWOaS_fOjkLqpPu\ qSqoXnl`geda`hXWlSRpNMtLQrJUqHYoF`nDdlBhkAkjFbaJUU\ NLMUKNYKOZLOWMNbMmhNMONMLOLJPLGPKcQKmQKm3Re5S_6SY8\ TV9zTBURCUPDSNDQLEOJEMIFKGFIEGGCUEAZC9cA7c85c63c41\ c20c08h7FiDMkKTmQVlVXkZYjc_igzikzkmzlnzjhziczhZzgT\ zfOzeJziPzmVzr_zvezzjzzhzzfzzdzzbzz`zzZzzXzzVzz_zz\ czzgzzkzzozzlzz`zz_zzZzzZ } frm:MandAutoCritInZ {; Jim Muth a=real(p1), b=imag(p1), d=real(p2), f=imag(p2), g=1/f, h=1/d, j=1/(f-b), z=(((-a*b*g*h)^j)+(p4)), k=real(p3)+1, l=imag(p3)+100, c=fn1(pixel): z=k*((a*(z^b))+(d*(z^f)))+c, |z| < l } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint ;
