; The parent fractal of today's image is a Mandelbrot set 
; corrupted in its depths by cubic energies.  The image is located 
; between the two East Valleys of a larger minibrot that lies in 
; an elephant trunk on the south shore line of the single East 
; Valley of the parent Mandelbrot set.

; The name "Salad is Served" came about when I was reminded of one 
; of the light feminine salads FL always orders when we eat out.  
; Of course, since I am not a rabbit, I do not eat leafy weeds.  I 
; order masculine foods heavy in meat and starch such as meat loaf 
; and sweet potatoes.
; 
; Today's image rates a slightly above average 7 for both the 
; artistic and mathematical aspects.  I have already explained the 
; art part -- the image looks like a salad.  But the math part is 
; a bit more subtle.  The six strawberry clusters surrounding the 
; cubic minibrot at the center are arranged in three groups of two 
; -- a perfect blending of the quadratic and cubic elements.  And 
; the strawberry rings increase in complexity as they approach the 
; minibrot.

; The calculation takes 45 seconds to complete on the average SOTA 
; desktop machine, and far longer if it will run at all on a 
; 'smart phone', 'tablet' or 'I-pad'.  Regardless, the finished

; Central today with partly cloudy skies, a temperature of 90F 
; 31C, and rumblings of thunder in the area.  Only a few drops of 
; rain fell at FC however.  The fractal cat spent the afternoon 
; sleeping in a laundry basket, while the humans did the real work.
