; Today's image in colors of turquoise and peach sets no new 
; pathways.  It is a scene in an elephant trunk on the south shore 
; line of East Valley of a Mandelbrot set somewhat corrupted by 
; Z^(1) energies.  The infection, (we might call it a birth 
; defect), results in a M-set with a main bay more circular than 
; usual and the buds, which are smaller than expected, shifted 
; around toward the negative X-axis.
; 
; When the imag(p1) parameter is decreased, the infection in the 
; parent M-set grows stronger, until the entire parent ultimately 
; degenerates into the empty circle that would be expected from 
; iterating Z^(1).  But it shows some interesting convolutions on 
; its way to becoming an empty circle.  I might check a few of the 
; scenes in this degenerating fractal in the future.

; Today's image is named "Blazing Trunks".  The two narrow 
; floating elephant trunks inspired the 'trunks' part of the name. 
; The inspiration behind the 'blazing' part of the name will have 
; to wait until the next FOTX.

; Today was just another 'back to work' day here at Fractal 
; Central.  The weather was near perfect, with a temperature of 
; 84F 29C, low humidity, and a photoshop blue sky filled with 
; cottonpuff cumulus clouds.  Now that FL and I are starting on 
; the slowdown path to retirement, the phrase 'back to work' does 
; not imply as much work as it did in the past, but the 7-day 
; cycle of a week still figures prominently in the daily routine.  
; The fractal cats had a routine day of watching for unwelcome 
; cats and teasing pigeons.
; 
; The next FOTX will be posted when I get a round tuit, probably 
; within two days.  Until then, take care, and I wonder which is 
; more reasonable -- holding faith that God exists or holding 
; faith that the objective world is real.  As I see it, the 
; evidence is equally ambiguous in both cases.
