WHERE HAVE ALL THE HEROES GONE

In these days, traditional morals are ridiculed and proclaimed (by the media) to be old fashioned. While these same liberal interests extol debauchery and represent that their lifestyle is the only psychologically healthy way of life. The unhappy lot of those who are publicly critical of this new politically correct value system is vilification by the media. Further if their criticism is particularly vexing they may even be likened to the Nazis. In the mean time the failure of this new-old lifestyle leaves many of the Nations children scarred, emotionally crippled and fending for them-selves in a landscape littered with hedonistic adults whose only interest is in how they feel. The reason that this sorry situation haunts us is clear to any that are capable of analytical thought and who remember mans history. The root cause is that the most liberal of our citizens now control, to a large degree, the media of the nation. Some mistakenly believe that this was the result of some conspiracy. The real reason is that base rather than the noble actions of mankind tend to seize our attention whether it is presented in the news or movies. This is not unique to our people, or even our species. This predisposition to notice what alarms us is genetic in origin and is one of the defense mechanisms of the imperative to survive. Even those that live lives based upon traditional values find that their attention is captured by the perverted actions portrayed in the news and theater. They shake their heads in disbelieve at "what the world is coming to" and hopefully resolve to do more to help others see the life successes those values impart to individuals.

The media moguls whether as part of the Hollywood power structure or the national news organizations are well aware that violence and perverted sex bring the viewers and readers money to their bank accounts. The net result is that those with high principles generally find that they do not fit within the media society that actively promotes deviant behaviors and graphically reports the worst of mans behaviors. So it comes as no great wonder that those in the media extol the virtue of doing what ever feels good since by encouraging people to do so creates more theatrics and consequently more money. Unfortunately these same people seem to be the heroes of many if not a majority of our people. While those that teach traditional moral standards requiring individual self-control and consideration for others are cast as deviants and charlatans.

It is sad that this is the case in a present shaped by freedom of speech and remarkable communication abilities. To a large degree we can thank those who framed our laws that strongly favor freedom of speech and press for the liberation of most of the world’s people. Indeed the average person, in most of the World, has more freedom today than ever before in history. Without freedom, man (woman) is without purpose other than chattel for those who lust after power. The ultimate truth is that like many of mankind’s great advancements there is always a dark side to any instrument of good. We cannot retreat to the past lack of freedom of speech and communication to solve the social problems of today that were created by the greed of the few. It seems obvious to those who still follow the morality brought forward from the crucible of Judeo Christian thought, that good and evil have been reversed by the self-serving media. It is true that many of our fellow citizens do not agree with that point of view. So what seems obvious to some will always appear as less than obvious to others. This is the norm and it always will be in this world of choices composed of many shades of gray. The reason for this lack of certainty is complex, and is influenced by the fact that in our world (universe) there are two sets of laws that are opposed in some respects, but yet both are integral to our world. One is called survival of the fittest (the individual) while the other is "love your neighbor as yourself". The conflict for men and women since the beginning has been between these two seemingly opposite codes of behavior. That the two can coexist and amplify each other is witnessed by the great moments in the history of mankind. The problem that always arises is that of greed and the methods man has used to fulfill the lust for power.

Slavery is the principle root of evil whether 2,000 years ago or now. While it is rather simple to identify the older forms of slavery, because they entail physical and mental restraint, this is not necessarily so for modern forms. Humans are very proficient in the business of slavery, and it is certainly one of the reasons that mankind has come to dominate all life on the Earth.

Power for the dominant species is derived from the enslavement of others. This is an old behavior, which has been practiced since the beginning of recorded history and certainly before that. This practice is also a part of the social fabric of many animal species other than man. It is true that freedom is not of necessity a part of the natural law (i.e. nature, Mother Nature, evolution, etc.).

The creation (evolution) of man was brought about by survival of the fittest. The same applies to all life upon the Earth. Evolution is energized by survival of the fittest, as most of those who have been educated in the last 50 years well know. We witness this process continue around us at any time that we care to notice (This is particularly easy when we consider the evolution of viruses and bacteria with respect to modern medicine). The process is driven by an ever-changing environment, which then allows the random variations that are best suited for the new environment to proliferate. The process is not so much incremental, but more like the ebb and flow of tides on a sandy shore with constant change both forward, backward, and if you will sideways. This state is not beset with any right or wrong, other than to survive at the expense of all else. If slavery of others advances an individuals survival, then that is good. If eliminating others, who occupy favorable space benefits the individual, then that is good. This law is a part of each of us at the genetic level. The genes that directed the growth of our bodies also strive through their programming to insure the survival of each of us, and thus they, are the primal force for life on Earth. This then is the natural law, and all species are subject to it.

Within any species, there will always be a spectrum of individuals for any quality that any one selects to study. If one compares the intelligence of individual humans and plots a curve to describe the entire population, then a classic probability curve will be described (a bell curve). There is no concept of fair or unfair in the distribution. This same probability applies to every characteristic that can be imagined for every form of life, not just man. The result is that in any group there will be those who have an excessive amount of a trait at one end of the spectrum, and those with a small amount of the trait at the other end. In the middle will always be the vast majority of individuals. This pattern is the norm. If a trait allows for better survival in a new environment, then some of the population suffers while others proliferate. This means that within a group of individuals some will excel at those attributes that allow them to dominate and enslave others within the group; again there is no concept of fair involved.

Into this natural strife, a new law was introduced by the Father (Creator, God, etc.) of us all. It is as simple as it is difficult for man and woman to follow. It requires that the individual sublimate his innate drive to survive to what is beneficial for the whole. This concept is rather simply expressed as "love your neighbor as yourself". Naturally, if the individual loves the Father, then it must follow that he or she should also love their brothers and sisters. As most will readily admit, if you love your brother or sister you will not try to enslave them either physically or mentally. There are a great number of "natural" human behaviors that are incompatible with this law. If you treat others as you would be treated, then many behaviors become wrong, but we will concentrate on slavery because when practiced among humans it is the antithesis of the new law.

Control is the essence of slavery. It removes the option of free choice from the individual. If we truly love our fellow man we want him or her to have the same freedoms that we enjoy. Our Father wishes all of us to have freedom of choice. He does not compel any of his children to follow the new law, even though he could if he so desired. Freedom of choice is vital for his children's learning. So it is obvious that any form of slavery is not in the best interest of any of us, whether enslaver or enslaved.

Now we shall return to today and our search for heroes (those who are willing to think of others before themselves?) in this great modern society founded upon individual freedom. We above all must try to understand why our Fathers law is now considered bad, while the natural law is prized. This picture is always clouded, for not all are given to total evil (which as we have discussed is naturally correct), as all are not given to good (which requires more than adherence to natural law), and the majority is in between. Certainly in our society there is much that our Father would be proud of, as well as that he would consider wrong, within the context of the new law. But by maintaining our focus on slavery, perhaps we can identify the truth through the obscuring fog composed of the many shades between right and wrong.

Modern slavery accomplishes the same thing that slavery has always accomplished, and that is the harnessing of the efforts of others for the benefit of the enslaver. However, the methods are far more sophisticated than those of actual physical restraint and ownership are. Today, almost universally, the restraint is based on the art of psychological manipulation, and it is practiced upon the stage of the incredible modern communication networks. Because of this, those who are desirous of controlling others seek this arena like moths drawn to a flame. This is not to say that all who are thus drawn to this powerful forum are of evil intent, for surely there is a whole spectrum represented within the ranks of gifted communicators. You can be sure, however, that those who are not as able with spoken or written words or those who are not as physically attractive are not included. In short, the average individuals, or those who are below average, are not strongly represented within the group that controls the media.

Most within this elitist group can be classified at that extreme of the human spectrum that prefers the concept of greater control of the average citizen "for their own good", or in other words, to limit their freedom of choice. (We must always remember that within this group there are those who hold a completely opposite view.) We are, however, focusing on an average representation of the group, and that average is skewed to the left (socialism, liberalism etc.) of society as a whole. Again some claim that these are the heroes of today.

The control they wield so ably should not be confused with the concept of the majority restricting freedom for the better good of the whole society, which has been practiced by all civilizations. There have always been certain behaviors that a functioning society cannot allow (i.e. murder, robbery, and even speeding). These restrictions change as society becomes more complex, and as numbers increase. If we consider Chinese society, we see that individuals are required by law to be polite and considerate of the whole. These restrictions are not for the purpose of enslaving man, but rather are for the relief of tensions that might cause larger problems. Perhaps we can compare them to lubricant, in that they smooth the flow of everyday life.

Within the elite group of actors, news commentators, writers, producers and media moguls there are those who are of the ultra liberal persuasion who like to live lives based upon the natural law. These individuals have undertaken the shaping of our society into a society in which it is not wrong to be unfaithful in marriage, promiscuous sexually, homosexual, or to use others for their own advantage (slavery), and these concepts are not inconsistent with the natural law. They also pander to the baser instincts of our species; violence and portrayals that reflect survival of the fittest at its extreme easily stimulate us.

These portrayals are always of “beautiful people” that have great personal power. Unfortunately, these are the things that appeal to the natural man for they are true representations of what has been required by the evolutionary processes of the entire ecosystem. By selling this life style they, who are doing the selling, are adding to their power by enslaving men mentally to their concept of right or wrong. Additionally they are assuaging whatever guilt their conscience's still feel by recruiting new believers to their way of life. In essence they have created a pseudo church. They have been very successful in this endeavor, for it is true that they have elevated themselves to the status of heroes. However, those who have embraced (converted to) these concepts have not been forced to accept their morality, they have been sold in a very clever fashion by the greatest manipulators of men and women in the world today. It is unfortunate that those at the middle and lower end of our social spectrum, along with the young of all social classes are the most easily influenced by the sales effort of the "beautiful people" that they have idolized. The rise of a subculture that devotes itself to anarchy and the creed of every man for himself have evidenced the unfortunate outcome of this whole effort. This is also true in the case of groups, where we find all in the group against all outsiders. Which is simply a form of tribalism, one of evolutions more successful strategies, that is apparent in gang culture. This situation is the natural result of reverting to the old law of survival of the fittest. Those who have been seduced were converted of their own free will. Because of this, it is slavery brought about by willingly making bad choices.

True freedom is found by following the new law given by our Father. However, it is a very great wrong to force anyone to follow the new law. It is a very great wrong to force a people to follow any creed. Consider the people in Muslim countries where life can be forfeited for simply being non-Muslim. It seems obvious to most that this is a manifestation of the great evil such methods bring to man. Because of the murderous excesses of religious zeal in the past, it has become very easy for the “beautiful people” to make a mockery of the new law and those who profess to follow the Father. Indeed, when wrongs are compared, it is far worse to force a person to follow the true religion than to convince them to follow a pseudo religion. It is true that throughout human history those who claim to follow the new law have often brought about the enslavement of man. More people have been slain in the name of deity than for any other reason and truly, this ultimate wrong takes something from men and women that can never be given back.

Where then are the true heroes and heroines? Do they hide from the ridicule of the "beautiful people" who make a mockery of all religion and virtue? (How many movies are made for our youth's consumption in which being a virgin is ridiculed.)? It may seem to some that the heroes are hiding. However, if one carefully examines our culture they will find those who love their fellow man as themselves. They believe and follow the new law of the Father, so they do not strut proudly before their brothers and sisters. They simply try to do that which they have been asked to do without publishing their goodness to gain power. These are they who may, or may not, come from the upper end of the social spectrum, they may even be from the very bottom, since, for these individuals, it is hard to rise socially in a society that worships survival of the fittest. They may be those of low intelligence, or those who are considered nerds. Yes, they are invisible to those who lust for power, and they have little power. But our Father knows and remembers them.
