In January, the production company for the TV show "Promised Land", (who also produce "Touched by an Angel") called me (thanks Milosport!) to try to rent some windsurfing gear for a prop in a segment being filmed in a flea market background. They just needed to rent a colorful board and rig for the 24 hours it would take to film the segment, which was being done at the Utah State Fairgrounds. Nice folks to deal with. I got a $3,000 deposit check to hold for the day in case of any damage, so I took my F2 short board and 4.5 MPR down there, rigged it, came back a day later and took it down. For my trouble I got $250. Amazing! (Wow, if I had $250 for every time I drove my gear somewhere and rigged it....!)

I never saw the board and sail in the TV show, "The Purple Heart", which aired in February, but I missed the first five minutes of it.

Anyway, it was such a windfall and it came about only because I windsurf, that I figured this was meant to be a catalyst for something else, like the web site we've been talking about for months. So, I'm using the money to pay for the web site set up at Radius Engineering, where I work and can enlist the aid of Dallan Porter, our talented network manager whose figured all this stuff out. Lest I sound altruistic, keep in mind that the real reason I have wanted a web site is so I can:

1) Find out where the wind's been blowing (via the Wind Log) so I don't get skunked.

2) Sell some of the $3,000+ worth of sailing gear that's been sitting in my garage looking for a home.

Hope you get the same benefits!
