The following color photographic reproductions (color varies from the original) are from the Codex Vaticanus 1209, B/03. This is a Greek uncial manuscript. It was written in Greek script like our capital letters. The photos are the headings and endings (colophons) of the four Gospels. The faded letters have been retraced and there were corrections to the text. Codex Vaticanus was written in three columns with 40-44 lines per page for the Gospels.

Codex Vaticanus contains the text of the four Gospels. Another codex with text close to the Vaticanus is that of Codex Sinaiticus in the British Museum which also contains the four Gospels.
