Leaning Tree

There are two leaning trees that seem possible candidates but a dog was pissing (or worse) under one of them so I chose the other. Mucho signs of people digging and scratching around in the mulch and needles. After spending some time wandering around with the GPS and checking out other trees, I returned to the obvious one and decided to really search close to the tree: found it.

Made a short log entry. The chocolate mints were still there but I didn't take them. None of the exotic treasures I'd brought with me could fit in the cache, so I put in a Massachusetts Quarter.

To make the cache a little more easy to find in the future (if you've checked this web site), I made sure that the bottle is actually touching the tree but is covered with needles. If you look very close, you can see a bit of white showing through. My find makes it two finds, three misses but it will pick up.

Green is GPS trace loaded into Street Atlas.

How not to get there. I turned off of Highland on to Viscounti and travelled all the way around the park before I got in. Newcastle is the way to go.

Lots of things to consider.
