At the cache at 2:40 p.m. MDT. Made a short entry in the log and took my picture. Hope it turns out since I had to do it myself at arm's length. Left 4 AA batteries and took the Tooele Depot pocket knife. I intend to leave the knife with its own history and Larry's email address in another cache so that it can travel from cache to cache. We'll see how far it goes. Cache is in excellent condition and should withstand the coming winter weather.
Enjoyed the drive down. Came down from Fairview and went home from Joes Valley via SR 29 to Ephriam -- one hell of a state route: 28 miles of twisting, narrow, unpaved road, climbing to 10,335 feet.
My first hunt. I loaded up the GPS, the laptop, some treasures and we were on our way fairly early in the day. I have a Mighty Mouse antenna that lives on the truck and I like to keep the track and download it to Street Atlas from time to time. The seemingly random lines in the pictures are that trace.
How to "remember" where you had lunch.
Here I am at the site and learning some valuable lessons:
Deep in the heart of San Pete. We came to this corner in Moroni and spotted a sandwich shop featuring barbecued turkey. Since Ephraim and Moroni are the Turkey Capitals of the World, we knew This Was the Place for supper.
