Geo Sports Like other members of my family, I've had a life-long fascination with maps. Street Atlas led to the end of my boycott of Microsoft so I could have a computer that ran it. I bought a GPS receiver to use with Street Atlas and soon found myself enmeshed in other activities. 10 Feb 01
Curmudgeonry "Curmudgeons are mockers and debunkers whose bitterness is a symptom rather than a disease. They can't compromise their standards and can't manage the suspension of disbelief necessary for feigned cheerfulness. Their awareness is a curse ..." 27 Oct 96
Writing An interest in writing is much like a chronic disease--say malaria. You catch it at some point and although you may be undisturbed for long periods of time, you know that an attack can come at any time. 9 Feb 97
Naturism I have never liked clothes and have worn them as little as possible. In 1993, I joined the local naturist group to get away from the incredible sexual pressures of most other organizations, from the LDS singles groups to that blatant mate market, The Wasatch Mountain Club. 26 Oct 96
Living in Utah I was born in Utah, the redundant descendant of four polygamous great-grandfathers. After graduating from Granite High, I left the state for college (CalTech), and didn't came back to live until 1980, when I got a job with Evans & Sutherland. What a shock! 17 Aug 96
Living in
Cyberspace

Resume This started as an exercise in HTML. But if you're looking for an experienced programmer (or should it be computer scientist?), here is my resume. 5 Oct 1997
Much Misc I am subject to sudden bursts of enthusiasm. I am a snatcher up of unconsidered trifles. Odd bits of paper on odder subjects seem to find their way to my desk. I have a pathological lack of a sense of order ("a stack-organized mind in a queue-organized world"). Junk accumulates. 26 Oct 96
