stories of hope, healing, heart

Dear Readers

Hello, and thank you for your interest in my writing. I hope you are having a lovely holiday season! I'm thrilled to announce the release of my latest book A COLD CREEK HOLIDAY, a December book from Silhouette Special Edition. I loved writing this book, especially because it offered me the chance to catch up with the Dalton family, who appeared in my first COWBOYS OF COLD CREEK trilogy for Silhouette Special Edition! They became some of my all-time favorite characters and writing about them again was just like a crazy, fun, chaotic family reunion. Here's a little snippet about A COLD CREEK HOLIDAY:

Emery Kendall hates Christmas. She used to enjoy everything about it but now she just tries to grit her teeth and endure until the holidays are over and life can return to normal. When she decides to escape her ghosts by traveling to Pine Gulch, Idaho in an attempt to at last uncover the truth about her past, she stumbles into the world of former Army Ranger Nate Cavazos, a man suddenly struggling to deal with this two orphaned nieces. Emery doesn't realize that if Nate had any clue she was the secret daughter of the late -- and much despised -- Hank Dalton, he would kick her out of her cozy little rented cabin faster than she could blink, Christmas or not ...

Romantic Times gave the book 4 1/2 stars and said, "A richly plotted story with characters that are easy to care about, this one is as emotional as it is funny. Keep some tissues handy."

I'm also eager for the release of the second book in my new COWBOYS OF COLD CREEK series. The first book was a September 2009 release, A COLD CREEK HOMECOMING. In February 2010, SSE releases the second of the series, A COLD CREEK SECRET. When Maj. Brant Western goes to the rescue of a stranded traveler at his ranch high in Cold Creek Canyon, he never expects to encounter Mimi Van Hoyt, a spoiled socialite with, you guessed it, a secret! When she pretends to be someone else so Brant will let her stay for awhile, he plays along to have an amusing story when he returns to finish his tour in the Middle East. He never expects to find himself falling for Mimi, secret and all. I had so much fun writing their story and grew to adore both of them.

And just a reminder, book two in my first COWBOYS OF COLD CREEK trilogy is still available free from my publisher as part of a year-long celebration of Harlequin's 60th anniversary of providing great books. DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT -- winner of Romantic Times magazine's best Silhouette Special Edition of 2006 and also the RIO Award of Excellence for best short contemporary along with 15 other great titles from other authors is available in lots of places -- Amazon, BN.com, and by visiting http://www.harlequincelebrates.com. I loved this story and I'm thrilled to be able to share it with a wider audience!

I hope you check back often to find out what's new in my world and please check out my blog for the most up-to-date info.

All my best,

RaeAnne
