stories of hope, healing, heart

Dear Readers

Hello, and thank you for your interest in my writing. I'm thrilled to announce my November 2008 book THE COWBOY'S CHRISTMAS MIRACLE has been named a finalist in Romance Writers of America's prestigious RITA® Awards in the contemporary series category. It's an incredible honor to be nominated, especially to be included among so many other fantastic authors and books. The award will be given out July 18 in a lavish ceremony during RWA's national conference in Washington D.C.

I'm also excited that my 2006 release DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT -- winner of Romantic Times magazine's best Silhouette Special Edition of 2006 and also the RIO Award of Excellence for best short contemporary -- is being offered as a free eBook by my publisher, Harlequin/Silhouette. The promotion is part of Harlequin's 60th anniversary of providing fabulous books. All year long, you can download MOONLIGHT as well as 15 other great titles from other authors by visiting their website, http://www.harlequincelebrates.com. I loved this story and I'm thrilled to be able to share it with a wider audience!

As for new releases, my next book will be out in May 2009. FORTUNE'S WOMAN is part of the popular RETURN TO RED ROCK miniseries for Silhouette Special Edition. Ross Fortune is a private investigator with a troubled past. When his own sister is accused of a terrible crime, he must turn to lovely family therapist Julie Osterman for help solving it.

Coming in September will be the first book in my new trilogy, part of the COWBOYS OF COLD CREEK miniseries. A COLD CREEK HOMECOMING is the first in a series involving three men who return to Pine Gulch where they were raised in foster care and find love and healing. I just finished the book and really came to adore the hero, Quinn Southerland. He never expects to fall for his high school nemesis, Tess Claybourne. But when he returns to Pine Gulch to care for his dying foster mother, he's stunned to find Tess serving as her hospice nurse. Quinn must learn to put aside the past in order to allow himself a chance for the future he's always wanted.

I'm also participating in another promotion for Harlequin's anniversary, the Famous Families miniseries for Silhouette Special Edition. Each month, one SSE author will revisit one of her favorite series of books with an all-new title. I was asked to write another Christmas book set in Cold Creek, to follow the Dalton family, and I was so thrilled to revisit some of my favorite people! Here's a little snippet about the book:

Emery Kendall hates Christmas. She used to enjoy everything about it but now she just tries to grit her teeth and endure until the holidays are over and life can return to normal. When she decides to escape her ghosts by traveling to Pine Gulch, Idaho in an attempt to at last uncover the truth about her past, she stumbles into the world of former Army Ranger Nate Cavazos, a man suddenly struggling to deal with this two orphaned nieces. Emery doesn't realize that if Nate had any clue she was the secret daughter of the late -- and much despised -- Hank Dalton, he would kick her out of her cozy little rented cabin faster than she could blink, Christmas or not ...

I hope you check back often to find out what's new in my world and please check out my blog for the most up-to-date info.

All my best,

RaeAnne
