SCOUT MERIT BADGES
Scouts can do everything they need to do in order to get their
merit badges at Salt Lake Archery. We build arrows, learn about
building strings and shoot. Merit badge classes are by appointment
only. The cost is $7.50 for each session. One session is to build
the arrow and string and one shooting session. (Additional shooting
sessions, if necessary, are $7.50 each).

JUNIOR OLYMPICS
Salt lake Archery also sponsors the Utah Hot Shots; a Jr. Olympic
Club which is affiliated with the National Archery Association.
Our members range in age from 6 to 17. We have both boys and girls
in our club and both recurve and compound shooters.
The Jr. Olympic program is designed both to teach archery and to
provide competition for archers who want it. Archers progress at
their own levels, earning patches as they shoot higher scores. For
those who want to be more competitive, tournaments are offered at
club, state, regional and national levels.
Many of the Hot Shots shoot during the Monday and Wednesday classes,
but we do classes just for them on Friday evenings. The younger
kids shoot from 9 meters from 6:30 to 7:30; the older kids shoot
from 7:30 to 9:00.
To join the Hot Shots there is a one time fee of $75.00 (for NAA
membership, a club shirt and pin, and a parent's book). The cost
is then $7.50 per session, with discounts for kids who want to do
a lot of shooting. |
