About the Author

Of all the areas in a web site, the most self indulgent is the autobiography. Most web sites, when organized by an individual or even a small group, have such an area. Being new to this web game, it has been decided that we should be no different and offer a similar section, filling your innocent minds with details of my past that most of you will have little interest in knowing. This knowledge does not deter me in my mission. However, I shall attempt to keep things brief. I shall try to keep my little stories of my past adventures for a future day, when it's raining and we're all bored. They may seem more interesting that way.

I was born, and I've found that most people start out their lives that way. My youth was full of things that continue to follow me today, most important among these were the Muppets (I still try and catch Sesame Street when possible) and reading. I was able to read at age four, an ability which seemed more impressive when I was four than to most four years olds today I gather. I read eagerly and with increasing speed and understanding. The next natural step was to try and write something, and, as early as first grade, I and my friends were attempting to write stories. We never finished anything.

The writing urge stayed mostly docile until sixth grade, when I needed to write some stories for my English class. This wave of my career expressed itself in a few items for classes during my middle school years (more stories for classes, the occasional creative project which required a script, etc) and some brief stories and crudely drawn comic books which got no farther than my brothers. At this point, I was already writing Doctor Who stories of a sort, having been watching the show since I was eight. This wave of writing went dormant during my freshman year of high school, manifesting itself only during the occasional English project.

However, a junior year English project started things rolling again. The class was to write a short story with a hero. Most students had two pages for their rough draft, mine was ten. This moment of recognition had me distribute, on a small level, that first story, and the encouragement I received back had me write more short stories.

My first longer project, unsurprisingly enough, started my first proper Doctor Who fanfiction series. The series featured myself as Doctor and many of my school friends appeared in one role or another. That series, which started in 1990, ended in 1994. By this point I was a few years out of school, most of the last of my friends were graduating, and I felt the series dragged as it had the poorly written early stories as part of it's continuity. The stories I was writing then easily outshone those early works and made them look juvenile at times. So, I ended the series, intending to take a break from writing Who for awhile. I had but one more story to write...

That story turned out to be 'Restoration', the first story in a new series. When I started it, I was merely trying to rewrite that first Who story I'd written in 1990, seeing how much better I could make it. By the time I'd finished it, I knew I had to do more. So I did.

The last story of Season 31 ('Memories of You') was completed some time ago already, in late 1995. So why has it taken so long to complete a collection of these tales? For a long period of time, I was waiting for friends to complete art for the collection, and I did not have the money to print the book. I never did get most of that art and have decided to pass on including any within the book at this time. I am nearly prepared from a financial basis to print the book and that readiness is part of the reason behind the appearance of this web area now. I want information on what the collection will contain to be easy to find and hope that what you read will interest you (the reader of this) into wanting a copy of the collection. Perhaps you read 'Restoration' when it was first released in late 1994 and liked it. I hope these areas will remind you of what you enjoyed and revive any forgotten interest. Thank you for your time.

I'll add to this as necessary. Maybe some stories of the things I got wrapped up in will show up here. Maybe some of my other accomplishments will be noted here. I dunno yet. It's tricky writing a brief autobiography because you don't think of the interesting things you could add, just the stuff you remember at the moments you type. We'll see what I can remember, or what others remind me of.

Have a good time
Thanks for your time. Enjoy yourself.
