along the
Farmington Creek

EVENT: RM 79850

SPONSORS: The Gadabout Volkssport Club will sponsor a volkswalk along the Farmington Creek Trail behind Lagoon. Come join the fun.

START POINT: The club will have a registration table in north east corner of the Justice Complex parking alongside the walking path. .

START TIME: Between 8:00-1200 noon and finish by 2:00 p.m. No late starts please!

DIRECTIONS: From Ogden: From Salt Lake City exit I-15 north at 322. Stay to the Right, at stop sign, proceed straight to State Street. Cross over I-15 and into the parking lot at the Justice Complex, Just over the bridge. From Ogden: Take exit 325 south, turn right at stop sign--then turn left at stop sign on Clarke Lane at Fair Grounds The Justice Complex is just before the State St bridge going back over I-15. We will be next to the walking path. If you get lost on the event day, emergency cell phone 801-390-3322,

PROCEDURES: walk, jog, or run at your own pace. Each participant must carry a start card and have it validated at control points along the route. Turn in the card at the completion of the walk.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The 5 or 10K courses are easy and rated 1+. Strollers or wheelchairs are not recommended. The course is along paved roads or sidewalks.

STIPULATIONS: With registration for this event the participants accept the guidelines for AVA Volkssport events and agree to observe the principles of good sportsmanship. Littering is not permitted. The event is open to everyone. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. SORRY--NO REFUNDS IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO WALK.

Restrooms are not available.

There is no award offered, some old awards are available.

REGISTRATION: Please pre-register by February 14th. Please pre-register to maintain active status on our mailing list. Same day registration is also available.
