(3.1 or 6.2 Miles)

EVENT: RM 79848

SPONSORS: The Gadabout Volkssport Club will sponsor a volkswalk at the Tooele town park. This is just a short drive from Salt LakeCity. Come join the fun.

START POINT: The club will have a registration table in park near the swimming pool on 200 West and Vine Street.

START TIME: Between 8:00-1200 noon and finish by 2:00 p.m. No late starts please!

DIRECTIONS: From Ogden: Drive to SLC on I-15. Take exit 313 for I-215 Belt Rte toward SL Airport, merge onto I-215 S. Take exit 22A to merge onto I-80 West toward Reno. Take exit 99 to UT-36 toward Tooele Stansbury. Turn right at West Vine Street to start table in the park by pool. If you get lost on the event day, emergency cell phone 801-390-3322,

PROCEDURES: walk, jog, or run at your own pace. Each participant must carry a start card and have it validated at control points along the route. Turn in the card at the completion of the walk.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The 5 or 10K courses are easy and rated 1+. Strollers or wheelchairs are not recommended. The course is along paved roads or sidewalks.

STIPULATIONS: With registration for this event the participants accept the guidelines for AVA Volkssport events and agree to observe the principles of good sportsmanship. Littering is not permitted. The event is open to everyone. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. SORRY--NO REFUNDS IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO WALK.

Restrooms are available.

There is no award offered, some old awards are available.

REGISTRATION: Please pre-register by February 14th. Please pre-register to maintain active status on our mailing list. Same day registration is also available.
