EVENT: RM 77755

START POINT: The club will be in the bowery on the Southwest corner of the park.at 7400 East 300 South.

START TIME: Start between 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 and finish by 2:00 p.m.

DIRECTIONS: From North: on I-15 take exit 344, the 12th Street exit. Go east on 12th which is also UT-39. Stay on this highway up thru Ogden Canyon. Stay to the right on the south side of Pineview Reservoir. You will pass Chris' on the right and then the road will bend left, to the north. The park is in the center of town. Turn left at the post office across from the Chevron station, and go three blocks. Then turn right for three blocks to the park. You may park in the church parking lot across from the bowery. From the South. Due to I-15 construction there are two options. (1) exit I-15 at Lagoon Park and go north on US-89. Then turn right on Harrison Blvd to 12th Street and follow directions above. or (2) for a more scenic route, about 10 miles past Lagoon, at the I-84 interchange, merge onto I-84 east toward Morgan/Evanston. Take exit 92 toward Mt Green/Huntsville. Go left under the interstate and then right onto UT-167. At the Sinclair Station on the left, turn left onto Trappers Loop (UT 167) and follow Trappers Loop about 10 miles to UT-39 (a "T" intersection). Turn right on UT-39. You will pass Chris' on the right and then the road will bend left to the north. The park is in the center of town. Turn left at the post office across from the Chevron station, and go three blocks. Then turn right for three blocks to the park. You may park in the church parking lot across from the bowery.
PROCEDURES: Walk, jog, or run at your own pace. Each participant must carry a start card and have it validated at control points along the route. Turn in the card at the completion of the walk.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The 5 or 10K courses are easy and rated 1+ because of the nearly 5,000 ft elevation. Strollers or wheelchairs are not recommended. The route consists of rural paved roads with no sidewalks. Water and restrooms are available close by.

STIPULATIONS: With registration for this event, the participants accept the guidelines for AVA Volkssport events and agree to observe the principles of good sportsmanship. Littering is not permitted. The event is open to everyone. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets must be on a leash at all times. SORRY--NO REFUNDS IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO WALK. Please donate anyway!

REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is encouraged. All participants will please pay the required AVA $3 fee.

PLEASE NOTE: The Gadabout Club will have a new set of officers next year. We are in the process of reorganizing. I do want to thank all my friends for supporting me for the past 20 years. It has been a great opportunity for me. It's been a lot of fun. Please attend, so I can thank you all for your friendship. I will continue to support events and probably manage the website.
