enough to get back to earth and seek revenge on the spaceship that left him to die. In the process, his vace is tattooed with

tyranist's Review
Originally entitled Tiger! Tiger! when this was released in the UK, I am of the opinion that this is a timeless bit
of science fiction that will still be read many
from now. Too often science fiction from the fifties dates itself
with language and projections of gadgetry that are a little ludicrous. This novel somehow avoids that and allows us to slip
into a future that could await us still. Jaunting is one of the coolest ideas in fiction simply because Bester explores it
as it should be explored. He found an idea that actually would reshape society completely and then extrapolated it out
into this wonderful novel. This is a must read for any true science fiction fan and should have won more awards than it did.
