Spectre's Review
Just like book number one of the series, this book is a masterful creation of wizardry and science. I was lost in this world
until the end of the book pulled me out, and then I kept going there in my dreams. Few other books have captured me so
well. Friedman continues her tradition of horror, magic, and delight. I love some of the terrifying ideas and magic spells
that are discussed. This really is a very interesting idea. There is a touch of Gothic horror, but mostly, it's very original
Friedman. Few other authors have the ability to put you inside the mind of a character. You must put this in your
permanent collection.
Spectre's Rating
Once again, Friedman does her magic!
