Welcome!

This site focuses on the family histories of Edgar and Ruth Wake and on our Mormon pioneer heritage, but will expand to cover as much of the family as possible. Among other lines, you will find information on the Barker, Bligh, DeWitt, Durfee, Jenkins, Johnson, Kempe, Miles, Rice, and Watson families. Good places to explore are the following histories and, if you think we have a common ancestor, the search box on the right.

Most of all, we want this site to be a resource the Wake children use to better appreciate their heritage. Grandpa and Grandma Wake truly were part of the past century’s “greatest generation.” They grew up on ranches without electricity, worked to survive the Great Depression, fought to free the world during World War II, and then quietly and selflessly built a strong family and helped build a modern nation, leaving a legacy of faith to guide our footsteps. No better people ever lived. Their ancestors helped restore the church of Jesus Christ to the earth, spead the gospel throughout the world, trekked west to build Zion, and were part of many of the great moments in Church history. Dylan, Lauren, Brendan, and Anne, this is the stock from which you grow. Honor your heritage by adding to it.

We would love to hear from anyone with additional information to share, and we thank those who have already provided information. If you’re a family member and we know you, then by requesting a user account you can get access to this site’s information on living relatives. Counter Graphic
