In June, 2002 AHAC hosted the Food Stamp Challenge. At this event the Executive Director of the Department of Workforce Services, Raylene Ireland, unsuccessfully attempt to finish Utah's Food Stamp Application within 15 minutes. After the Food Stamp Challenge Ms. Ireland (who is in the front, second to the right) committed to shortening and simplifying Utah's application.
