Proving the Impossible

Sudden Sandwich
Contest Deadline: January 19th, 2007

Have an impossible effect which you'd like to challenge our readers with? Let us know!

This challenge comes from Visions reader, Adam. In his description of this, Adam made the statement that "the main goal on this one is to make it as straightforward as possible." Do that, and you've got a near miracle on your hands.

The Challenge:
The performer spreads a borrowed deck in his hands, removing a pair (for example, two Kings) and putting them face up on the table. The deck is tabled or pocketed or otherwise put away. A spectator is asked to name a card. Immediately the two Kings are spread and there is seen a third card, face down, between them. This card is turned over and is seen to be, of course, the card the spectator named.

The Conditions:

  • No stooges
  • No forces

To submit your solution, simply send it, as a plain text file, via e-mail to shane@online-visions.com.

As always, be as original as you dare!

Good luck!

Shane
