Next UARC Meeting: 9 May 2024

Topic for the UARC meeting coming up on Thursday May 9th will be the Utah VHF Society, including the large Intermountain Intertie system of linked repeaters in Utah and surrounding states. Speaking will be Mel Parkes, NM7P, the President of the Utah VHF Society. The Utah VHF Society has web site including comprehensive repeater list for Utah at https://utahvhfs.org

The meeting starts at 7:30 pm and will be available on UARC's YouTube Channel, live and for later playback.

The meeting before the meeting has moved! We are now meeting for dinner at 17:30, at The Other Place (a restaurant), at 469 E 300 S in Salt Lake City, UT 84111. Parking in the rear, entrance off of 5th East.

UARC in-person meetings are held at the University of Utah. The meeting room is #2230 in Warnock Engineering Building - although that is subject to change, so keep an eye on this space.   To get to room 2230: If you enter the glass doors on the east side of the building, it is most of the way down the hall and up at the top of the stairs to the right.

For directions on how to get to the meeting location at the University of Utah, including elevator access - and to find out which parking lots you can SAFELY park in without getting a ticket - go to the "Directions to the Meeting" page - link.

A new parking arrangement (as of 4/2/2024) allows us to park in either the parking lot east of Warnock Engineering Building (lot #30), or in the large lot north of Merrill Engineering Building (lot #39). The UARC meeting has been registered as an event, officially through the University parking office. Since the lots east of Warnock Engineering Building could be removed for new construction at any time, the lot north of Merrill Engineering Building will be the recommended parking lot when lot #30 is no longer available.
