You picked up on Roger's
point exactly. Come with the right attitude and spirit and you will nearly
always be welcomed like a long lost relative and shown every courtesy. There
sometimes will be a self-appointed costume policeman or two pointing out what
they percieve to be non period gear, but treat them kindly and pay little heed
to their opinions. Chances are that most of the people who have to deal
with them all the time wish they would move to France.
