The logic, quick wit, and intelligence of Mercury combined with the
stability of earth gives Virgo an almost unparalleled ability to analyze
and dissect information. They don't talk about what to do, they do it!
Virgos prefer to work behind the scenes, undisturbed. They have a great
eye for detail, and often use their innate good taste in the arts or
decorating.
Virgos have a
somewhat notorious reputation for being critical. It is true that they
lack the ability to see weakness in themselves, but they can (and do)
quickly zero in on others', and they don't hesitate to offer critiques.
But Virgo doesn't do this to make the objects of their laser-like powers
of observation feel inferior--they are honestly trying to help. They
know they're not perfect so they try to make up for it by making those
around them perfect. It makes them feel useful, which Virgo craves.
Virgos tend to
be loners. They worry a lot and are constantly in an internal struggle
with seemingly monumental problems. Though extremely capable and cool,
inner anxieties eat away at them, upsetting their digestion and emotional
balance. One way that Virgo manages this anxiety is by creating order
out of chaos. Virgo tends to form habits and usually has a large collection
of whatever object or subject suits them, from books to Disney memorabilia.
They are fussy about their appearance, and are annoyed by vulgarity,
stupidity, and carelessness. They are conservative in love and spending.
Positive Virgo
traits include lucidity, practicality, service, decorum, and courtesy.
Negative qualities include nit picking, negativity, crankiness, and
being overly reserved.
