Other club news and announcements:
- For information on other classes and amateur radio exams - no matter where you are - visit Hamstudy.org.
- Hamcon: Zion This event - which includes the 2024 ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Convention will be held Friday and Saturday, July 12 and 13, 2024 in St. George. This event will include presentations, forums, workshops, demonstrations and special events along with a planned vedor expo hall and indoor swap meet - not to mention a "meet and greet" and banquet dinner.
- For more information about this event go to the Hamcon: Zion web site.
- UARC Steak Fry is scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2024 this year. It was moved back a week and will be on the third Saturday rather than the usual second Saturday in July, because of conflict with the Hamcon Zion convention described above. Steak Fry is a great traditional UARC gathering that includes a BBQ dinner.
- ARRL Field Day 2024 As is the case on every fourth (not the last!) weekend in June, UARC plans to "do" Field Day. This year - barring a road washing out - we hope to be back to our usual place near the Payson Lakes on the Mt. Nebo Scenic Loop above Payson, Utah. While the actual field day occurs on June 22-23 there will be club members on site in the days before Field Day - Watch this page for updates as this date draws near.

Welcome to the Utah Amateur Radio Club's web site. Our club is the oldest amateur radio club in the state of Utah. It holds the call W7SP, a memorial call for Leonard "Zim" Zimmerman, early UARC member and radio pioneer. It also publishes a monthly newsletter called Microvolt, electronic versions of which can be found here.
To use this site, please select from the links in the index on the left. You will find the most common destinations available there. Some links direct you to another menu for certain items. The Microvolt link is an example.
This site includes information about the club's history and current activities, as well as answers to the most frequently asked questions about Amateur Radio in Utah and Amateur Radio in general. We hope you find it useful. Suggestions are always appreciated.
Have a question not answered here? Call UARC's Ham Hotline, 801-583-3002. A volunteer will either be available in person or, generally, will get back to you within 24 hours.
