(This form must be printed, initialed, signed, and sent/faxed
to Swiss Guides.)
Registration
and Payment
Registration
signifies and binds the guest to acceptance and responsibility
of “General Stipulations” between the guest and Swiss Guides. We
kindly request the agreed partial payment within 14 days after
registration. The final payment is to be made within 30 days of
the tour or course.
For spring trips
the final payment has to paid 30 days before a tour/course or on special
agreement from both parties. In the event of last minute bookings, total
payment must be paid immediately.

Cancellation
and Annulations Stipulations
By signing this document, you are agreeing that you fully understand our
refund policy. Cancellations must be carried out by written letter.
Cancellations must be made according to the following guidelines.
Only then is a
refund available for all trips.
Refund Policy for all non-spring (described below) trips; In case
a guest cancels a course/tour after signing the registration form we
charge a CHF 50.00 fee for office expenses.
If cancelled up to 60 days prior to the course/tour, there will be a
cancellation fee of 15% of the total cost of the course/tour. If
cancelled up to 30 days prior to the course/tour but less than 60 days,
there will be a cancellation fee of 25% of the total cost of the tour.
If cancelled up to 15 days prior to the course/tour but less than 29
days, there will be a cancellation fee of 50% of the total cost of the
tour. There will be no refund for cancellations made after this time.
Refund Policy
for all spring trips such as Haute Route, Berner Oberland, Off-Piste
or ski trips in Europe with similar character: If cancelled up to 60 days before the trip, there will be a
cancellation fee of 25% of the total cost of the trip. There will be
no refund will be given for cancellations after 59 days prior to the
starting dates.
After the cancellation periods listed above and once a course/tour begins,
no refund or transfer will be given. In the case of Swiss Guides, should extraordinary
circumstances ( fires, strike etc. ) occur, which prevent or impede the course/tour
, Swiss Guides or the guide may renege the contract at any time. So far as
no other course/tour program is carried out, the guest retains or is returned
payment in full. If a tour has been started and cannot be completed because
of bad weather, the guide must be paid according to the duration of the tour.
In this event, the guide will be paid any expenses that may be incurred, such
as travel, minimum guide fee and accommodation. If the tour is not completed
or has to be cancelled because of bad preparation on the part of the client,
or any rest days taking by a guest the guide must be paid in full.
We highly recommend a cancellation insurance as well in
case of a unpredicted sickness, accident or a unplanned event to cover
the cost.
Additionally, Swiss Guides is not responsible for additional expenses incurred
including non- refundable airline tickets, equipment, medical expenses, etc.

Insurance
Insurance
coverage is the responsibility of the guest. The settlement of
an insurance policy which covers the costs of cancellation fees
and a valid accident and health policy (with stipulations of high
risk mountaineering/sport and rescue coverage) is vital. Additionally
we strongly advise you to become a member of the Swiss Air Rescue
REGA
for Switzerland (CHF30)
We highly recommend a cancellation insurance as well in
case of a unpredicted sickness, accident or a unplanned event to cover
the cost.
Although we as certified mountain guides can offer you
optimal and safe guiding, we can not totally eliminate or rule
out possible accidents during courses or tours. Therefore we
can not assume any liability. The guest assumes total liability
and goes on all tours, courses and treks, fully aware at their
own risk. Mountaineering, Rock climbing, Ski touring are dangerous
sports and can cause injury or death!

Liability
/ Damages
In
signing this registration, you understand and accept the inherent
risks of mountain, ski or climbing tours. Mountaineering, Rock
climbing, Ski mountaineering are dangerous sports that can result in
serious injury or death! Even a highly qualified
certified mountain guide is not infallible, as outside of normally
marked trails, a guide can be confronted with extreme situations
and boundaries which can never be totally controlled. The guide’s
responsibility and job is therefore only to keep the risk to a
minimum.
Within the
framework of his or her personal responsibility and in order to insure
that the tour is as safe as possible, the client shall follow the
guide’s instructions and bring any possible concerns to the guide’s
immediate attention as well as any physical and/or mental problems.

Court
of Competency and Responsibility
The
Swiss courts of justice are responsible without exception and will
preside over the proceedings of any legal complaints, regardless
of the nationality of the parties involved or where the accident
or damage occurs. The court of responsibility and competency is
in Interlaken, Canton Bern, Switzerland.

Not
included in the cost are: Travel
costs before/after and during any tour, lunches, drinks in the
huts, hotels are not included in the guest’s price.
Private
rate: no expenses of the guide or guest are included.
Expenses

( huts, meals, trains/trams or car expenses)
