Ski Randonne and Heli-skiing
Ski Randonne in the High Alps
Some of the most awesome scenery in the world can only be reached
on skis. Think of the possibilities, e.g. the famous Haute-Route
from Zermatt to Chamonix or Heli-skiing in the Swiss or French
Alps. Ski Mountaineering in the Alps or US to off piste skiing
in the Alps
Being a native Swiss who can speak all the local
languages, I can offer you a true European experience that a
non-local cannot offer. I know the Alps like the back of my hand,
and if the conditions get bad, such as a whiteout, I have a large
list of alternatives to offer while other guides are sitting in the
hut. If you want a real Swiss experience and not just the tourist
traps, sign up with Swiss Guides.
April/May, I will work out
your preferred date of the tour!
This traverse from Chamonix to Zermatt is the most
classic traverse in the world. It is the ultimate adventure for
every strong skier
or telemark ski tourer. We will start by skiing the world famous
Valles Blanches in Chamonix to get acclimatized and adjust our
equipment. Once prepared, we travel through beautiful scenery to
Zermatt, where we ski along wild glaciers, seracs, enjoying spectacular
views of the Swiss and French Alps, using modern ski transportation
systems to gain elevation. This tour is unique in that it combines
physical challenges with the creature comforts of cozy alpine huts,
where we enjoy local food and experience the diversity of European
culture.
For the experienced skier, we offer the same package but on the
less traveled more southern Haute Route. This traverse is more
physically challenging and technical with committing terrain but
is very rewarding. We will move from Bourg St. Pierre to the Chanrion
Hut behind the Grande Combin to Zermatt.
It is also possible to start in Zermatt and move to Chamonix on
request.

This chain of mountains just got voted as one of the world natural
wonders.
This 7-day tour will leave you breathless. The three mountains
Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau offer a fantastic panorama that you will
remember for a lifetime.
The tour is only for advanced ski or snowboard mountaineers.
After a great train ride, which stops at the Eiger
North Face windows which are used to access climbs on the famous
north face, we exit through a tunnel onto the biggest glacier in
Western Europe. From there we will conquer one or two peaks a day,
with steep skiing down to nice alpine huts, where we can rest our
tired legs, eat and share the day's adventures. The tour ends by
skiing out to the rustic hotel Rosenlaui in Meiringen.

Its starts and ends at the same location as the
route above, using the same hut system. This tour is equally
spectacular but the terrain
is much less steep and is especially well suited for Telemark skiers
or starter ski randonne lovers who want a more casual, relaxing
skiing experience. It is right in my backyard, so I can tell you
stories about the area and show you where to get the best
local cuisine and drink.
This tour will be only 4 days long.
We arrange private ski tours in the Ortler area,
Grande Paradiso, or 2-4 day trips on any peak at your request.
If you wish to Heli-ski in the Alps, we can arrange
your adventure a la Swiss
on some of the longest runs in the
Alps.
We are your local planning specialists, knowledgeable in the best
terrain, snow conditions, and choice of equipment.
We go where the snow is always good!
