Ski Randonne and Heli-skiing

Ski Randonne in the High Alps

Some of the most awesome scenery in the world can only be reached on skis. Think of the possibilities, e.g. the famous Haute-Route from Zermatt to Chamonix or Heli-skiing in the Swiss or French Alps. Ski Mountaineering in the Alps or US to off piste skiing in the Alps

Being a native Swiss who can speak all the local languages, I can offer you a true European experience that a non-local cannot offer. I know the Alps like the back of my hand, and if the conditions get bad, such as a whiteout, I have a large list of alternatives to offer while other guides are sitting in the hut. If you want a real Swiss experience and not just the tourist traps, sign up with Swiss Guides.

The Classic Haute Route

April/May, I will work out

your preferred date of the tour!

This traverse from Chamonix to Zermatt is the most classic traverse in the world. It is the ultimate adventure for every strong skier or telemark ski tourer. We will start by skiing the world famous Valles Blanches in Chamonix to get acclimatized and adjust our equipment. Once prepared, we travel through beautiful scenery to Zermatt, where we ski along wild glaciers, seracs, enjoying spectacular views of the Swiss and French Alps, using modern ski transportation systems to gain elevation. This tour is unique in that it combines physical challenges with the creature comforts of cozy alpine huts, where we enjoy local food and experience the diversity of European culture.

For the experienced skier, we offer the same package but on the less traveled more southern Haute Route. This traverse is more physically challenging and technical with committing terrain but is very rewarding. We will move from Bourg St. Pierre to the Chanrion Hut behind the Grande Combin to Zermatt.

It is also possible to start in Zermatt and move to Chamonix on request.

After a great train ride, which stops at the Eiger North Face windows which are used to access climbs on the famous north face, we exit through a tunnel onto the biggest glacier in Western Europe. From there we will conquer one or two peaks a day, with steep skiing down to nice alpine huts, where we can rest our tired legs, eat and share the day's adventures.
