Practical Astrology

Many people wonder about what astrology is, exactly. Is it superstition? Fortune-telling? Religion? Science? Astrology has been viewed as all of these things at different points through the ages. However, it has remained popular because it is a way of better understanding ourselves. It also provides insight to our understanding of others and gives us an idea of how to approach and relate to others.

It is important to remember that the sun sign alone does not determine the entire astrological profile. The ascendant (or rising) sign, moon sign, and positioning of the planets at birth all affect a person's astrological personality. Because of these variables, people will "match" their sign's description to differing degrees.

These are not horoscopes–there are no forecasts or predictions. These are general descriptions that will hopefully provide insight, promote understanding, and inspire communication among those of all signs.
